The Charts??? WTF RUDEGIRL!

I do not understand the charts. I just dont get it. It's meant to be the best songs in britain at the present time, 'It's meant to be'. But when you look at whats up there, it just, well, isn't.

I like pop music, and by that im saying i have nothing against dumbass cheesy lyrics, musically ungifted morons and lame tunes that have been used in hundreds of different songs, which, when you put it that way brings the question to mind that is "Why the fuck dont i have a problem with that"! Well i dunno, i just dont. We all at some point need a bit of 'happy' pop ,music to make us feel normal every now and again. But recently the charts have been getting ludicrously bad.

Its got to the point where some 'G' going by the name of 'T.I',very clever and cool, is taking the tune to that novelty song by 'O-ZONE', i know i couldnt remember the name of the group either and in all honesty it took quite alot of internet research to find it out, 'Dragostea Din Tei', still dont know it???. Well basically it's the song that goes "mia hi mia hu mia ho mia ha ha", i bet you remember now. I have always hated this song and will forever resent the person who allowed it to be released.

But yeah, 'T.I' for some reason has felt that taking the tune to that hideous creation wasn't quite bad enough and so enlisted the help of equally annoying so called 'artist' Riahnna. The outcome of this is that number 3 in the charts at the moment is 'T.I feat Rihanna' with 'Live Your Life. Interesting song title really, because the other day i was oh so lucky enough to channel hop onto 'The Hits' and find the video just starting. With a title such as 'Live Your life' i didnt quite understand why i had found myself watching T.I being beaten up by ten tonk (two of them fat rather than tonk, but hey, its america so what would you expect) black men and then being blown up before wondering around the streets in a ripped up suit whilst mouthing the words to the song, clever T.I.
What i hate the most about the charts is that there is hardly ever anything in there that i like and almost NEVER something that i would then persue and put on my ipod, but whenever there is, it does shit. I dont get it at all. For example, two or three weeks ago Girls Aloud released the debut song, 'The Promise', from their fith studio album. I love Girls Aloud and i dont care about the haters but what did annoy me was that it was number one for ONE WEEK and then dropped to sixth, and is right now tenth. It is an absolute tune but oh no, the british, radio 1 listening nation we live in had to not buy the single and instead buy T.I.

Who the hell is buying this stuff aswell, no-one i know can stand the charts!

I wouldnt be surprised if the charts wern't infact done on single sale, but infact on the decissions of the old people that live in retirement homes who can no longer come up to the youths of today and patronise us on how it wasn't like that in their day and so punish are ears and minds with whatever they feel will make us hate our generation the most. Im hoping one day the charts shall rejuvinate and become full of songs we actually like, but untill that day i'll leave you with the fantastic news that is 'Take That are currently number one with 'Greatest Day'. Good Times Rudegirl.
